Overall
Lovely weather here. No wind, snow, sleet, ice, etc. Just a warm sun peeking through low, gray clouds. It was a great afternoon run. I had eaten cheesecake and pecan pie for breaksfast, so I really wasn't sure when I was planning on running. I luckily convinced myself to don my running gear, just in case I felt like going. Once dressed, I was ready to go. Six miles feels like a long time when you either (1) don't have a lot on your mind, or (2) you're by yourself without tunes and all you can hear is your belabored breathing. I didn't get into the rhythm of it until about mile 3.5 when it clicked into place and I stopped hyperventilating. At mile 5, my knees started to feel compression pains. I felt so heavy today. Ugh. At least once I got home, I suddently felt so much lighter and better. Aching for a hot shower … if only Mom hadn't used all the hot water!
