The Swim
- 10 x 100 yards - freestyle easy.
- 50 yards - kick stroke.
Synopsis
- Upshot: Swimming loosened up my legs and back.
- Downside: My legs are fatigued from running.
- What I'm most proud of: I drove into town to make it before Pilates.
- What I would do differently: Practice my flip turns and work on a long, slow endurance set.
Overall
After running this morning, my legs were really feeling it. My knees seemed inflamed and I couldn't seem to shake the dull ache that was emninating from my patella. I figured if I took a 2 hour nap (I did) and then headed to do some easy swimming and Pilates, I would in turn be helping out my sore legs (it did) and building my core again to help with the longer running (it does). So far, excellent!

Overall
Today I had a freakout session! My half-marathon is only 12 weeks away! I need to be up to 13.1 miles in 12 weeks! ACK! So, I picked up my marathon book, found my schedule, and started up this week. Four days of running per week is tough …
