The Run

Synopsis

Overall

Started out slow and steady, keeping HR between 155-165 as much as possible. Figured I'd run 8 miles with intervals if I had to. But as I ran, I noticed that I really wasn't feeling fatigued or especially taxed, so I just kept telling myself that if I made it to 4 miles without stopping to walk, then I'd go for 6 miles. I made the 4 mile mark and then the 6 mile mark and just kept going. In the very last 1.5 miles before 8 miles was accomplished, I had to start telling myself, “There's no pain, only movement.” Somehow, that got me through. My longest run (running the entire time) to date!
