Overall
Yea! A morning run! I love morning runs because they wake me up and make me be a productive and responsible person. Really, they do. I find that I have more energy throughout the day, I'm not as hungry, and I get started on projects and tasks faster and with better attention. Of course, at 2pm I always want to take a nap, but what's an hour in the middle of the day if I can choose to spare it? Eat well, rest well, and workout well. I like that combo.
The run itself was good. I had Calen, the dog, with me. He's definitely getting better while on the leash, but I still hate taking him jogging with me while he's on it. He pulls all the time and it throws off my running form. I wish I could just let him go, but he'd run so far off and/or get hit by a car; I can't chance it now that we're living in the heart of a town. It was different when we were in the sticks and he could meander all over and chase rabbits and stuff. Oh, well. He'll learn. I'm really thinking about getting him one of those head leashes, like the Gentle Leader® or something. I feel kinda' bad since he's not leashed much, but it's as much for my peace of mind as his in our new city.
