The Run

Synopsis

Overall

Why am I so tired and crampy? I just could never get into the rhythm today. It was so disappointing. I couldn't sleep last night, but I did have a good, healthy breakfast with running in mind. I set out for the run, but it never clicked into place. My breathing was rough and uncoordinated, my legs were so tired and achy. They even started cramping a bit, something they've never done before! I'm wondering if it's the swimming, since I started that up this week and that is the only thing that is different. The only other thing I can think of is that I have been eating more (quantity) than normal, but I've been really good about making sure that it's extra veggies and fiber that I've been consuming and not candy and chocolate. I just felt hammered by the road today. Both IB bands on both legs started acting up, too. What crap this is.

Aside from that, I didn't let it stop me from trying! I just kept running until I mentally "broke" and I felt like crying. That was when I decided to head home. Once home, I hugged Calen, and I packed a lunch for my husband. I took Calen for a walk to Josh's store to deliver his lunch for him. That wasn't bad and was actually a great pick-me-up; just what I needed. I think the rest of today will be spent in the bathtub soaking my achy shins, playing Nintendo DS, watching movies, and maybe taking a nap with the kitty and doggie. After all, it is a windy, rainy, thunderstorming day.
