Synopsis
- Upshot: I rocked it, despite numb-crotchityness.
- Downside: Oh, I think I'm gonna' be sore.
- What I'm most proud of: I am motivated–I kept thinking about how I have big, beefy, sexy, hot, muscle-lady legs and how they're going to get me to the top of Honey Run this weekend on my inaugural road ride.
- What I would do differently: Breathe a little deeper. I saw stars sometimes …
Overall
Oh, damn. That was tough. It was all uphill. Both ways. In the snow. Okay, maybe not, but it could have been. I was aching for a reason to quit, but somehow, my legs wouldn't let me. (Go legs!) I pushed through the whole damn thing. I'm finding that the saddle is a pain in the crotch! Get me up and out of that! Powering through the hill stuff is kinda' like running hills … just slower and I'm clipped into a mess of metal, but I digress … I just kept thinking about how I'm not going to be left embarrassed by the wayside of Honey Run Rd. this weekend and that was enough to keep me pressing on. I was one of the last to leave class, but I wanted to be sure to have a full workout and cooldown period. I'm a little bit fatigued as I write this, but I think I'll be all right. I just hope I don't have to do a lot of kicking in swimming tomorrow!
