Have you ever had a foot arch cramp? March 27, 2006
Posted by Amber D. Evans in : Reflections, Chico CA , trackbackUnrelated to the title, but it appears the new blog sends emails to the blog owner as part of the commenting system. I don’t know if we all want email addresses floating around (now I know your email address, Lisa!), but then again, it’s easier to reply privately …
Back to the foot cramp, though. I think it came from the Cardio Boot Camp class I took on Saturday. I liked the Cardio Boot Camp class. It was jumping, hopping, lunges, squats, and punching. Yesterday I thought, I’m kinda’ sore. Today I’m thinking, I’m REALLY REALLY sore. My calves are so tight I’m limping around, as my achilles heel and hamstring are also cramped. Even the arches in my feet need constant stretching. (And I thought being a triathlete made me in shape!) Thank goodness I only did a half-hour. The small amount of cycling yesterday was probably the only thing keeping me from being completely rigid by afternoon!
Unrelated, my bruised knee from falling over in my clipless pedals is huge, blue, and swollen. I pretty much can either keep my knee bent or keep it straight. It does not appreciate any of the inbetween actions en route to the other. I also have an annoying bruise on my hip and elbow to match. Being a tired and beaten-up pansey, I am taking today off and am going to work on my M.S. Project evaluation instruments (read: surveys), watch movies, and take naps. After such a strenous day as just described, I’ll also be taking tomorrow off from the morning spinning (*gasp*) and will play it by ear by afternoon. I will most likely opt for swimming if I’m not feeling much better. I’m such a klutz sometimes!

Hey! No, that’s okay. I thought I’d given it to you anyways.
Enjoy your day off and hope your knee heals quick. You don’t need another bothery body part.
girl, you got off easy (not off your bike that is. ha!) with just a bruise! haha, i’m just kidding with you. promise. you know firsthand how coordinated i am on a bike. i have many battle scars from crashing, so i really have no room to speak.
as a sidenote, i’m thinking i’m going to sell my bike to you some time this summer, if you still want it that is. i have a potential way of purchasing a new one and figured you’d like to inherit my older one. i promise it’s still in great condition, even though i’ve landed it on the pavement countless times. and i’ll sell it to you for cheap. still interested?
